INTEGRATION OF NLT with ACADEMIC-BASED PROGRAMS Print

Natural Language Training is totally incompatible with the current academic approach of teaching and learning languages. Academia is reluctant to embrace a program that represents a radical paradigm shift from how it presents its language courses. Change is uncomfortable and for some it is scary, and professors are usually very comfortable with the status quo. The excuses for not implementing Natural Language Training go something like this: If students are not taught how to read and write in the First Year program, then they will be behind those who did when they reach Second Year grammar exercises. Furthermore, if they don’t consciously know the grammar rules, then how will the instructor be able to explain things? And what about assessments and final grades? In other words, how can the two co-exist? The answer is very simple: They cannot, but they can exist in tandem. First, require all First Year language programs to implement the Natural Language Training system, and then implement reading and writing programs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR PROSPECTIVE INSTRUCTORS Print

We are looking to train a core group of people in our system of teaching English who will stay with us for a long time and who will grow with the business as opportunities for expansion and advancement arise. We are not looking for part-time people who just want to supplement their income, or perhaps learn a skill set and go somewhere else to teach. All of our materials are patented and copyrighted and protected by US and international copyright and intellectual property laws, which preclude using them outside of our company without expressed written permission. Of course, we are not going to bother to train people if there is no opportunity to teach right away. To this end, we have already established our company, Perciba International, S.A., in Panama, which is a branch of Perciba Incorporated here, and we are currently working on setting up English language training courses there.  We are also looking into licensing our system to other educational institutions nationally and internationally.

Long-term success for the student/client who receives the instruction is determined by the curriculum, the methodology, the instructor and the quality of training that the instructor has received. We firmly believe that our program covers all of those criteria well beyond anything offered anywhere else.

Below is a list of questions which we must ask each potential instructor before we move forward together.  These are questions that we ask of everyone who inquires about our program, and honesty regarding each question is paramount. The answers cannot be “maybe” nor “sometimes” nor “I’m working on that.” Either you can or cannot, either you do or you do not, but honestly, you must answer in the affirmative for each question to be able to move forward with us. We hope that what we offer is a good fit for you, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
